It wasn’t cooking in one of the finest Michelin-starred restaurants in London, and afterwards in Stockholm — challenges posed in the MasterChef Ireland final — that Tamarin Blackmur found most challenging.

Just 10 weeks ago there were 16 chefs hoping to roast, bake — and the new must-do, “sous-vide” — their way to the title of MasterChef Ireland champion.

The MasterChef Ireland final runs over two nights, Wednesday and Thursday, on RTÉ Two. The remaining three contestants are Nicha Maguire, Tamarin Blackmur and Terry Lyons.
