LOCHLANN Quinn has been appointed chairman of the ESB.

NO decision has been made by the Government to appoint an ESB chairman as Tadgh O’Donoghue’s time at the helm of the company ends on Monday.

THE ESB says it is working on a plan with its unions to plug the €511 million deficit in its employee pension fund.
