Kenmare Resources boss Michael Carvill is not anticipating the company becoming a fresh takeover target amid ongoing consolidation in the industry.

The chairman of Dublin listed mining company Kenmare Resources, Justin Loabsy is to retire from its board due to ill health with immediate effect, it was announced yesterday.

Tullow Oil has announced that Rohan Courtney, the Group’s senior independent director, and chairman of the audit committee, is to step down from the board on December 31 2007.
