The top six seeds all safely progressed through to the third round at the Cincinnati Masters to keep their US Open preparations on track.

Two-time champion Andy Roddick was pushed to three sets before beating 46th-ranked Sergiy Stakhovsky in the opening round of the Cincinnati Masters today.
