THE funeral took place of former Government minister Seamus Brennan in Dublin yesterday.

Former Government minister Seamus Brennan was a distinguished patriot who helped shape a more modern and confident Ireland, the Taoiseach said today.

PRESIDENT Mary McAleese, Taoiseach Brian Cowen and Tánaiste Mary Coughlan were among those at the removal of former Fianna Fáil minister Seamus Brennan last night.
