A Dublin man has told a murder trial that the accused stabbed the deceased “to pieces” in the ruin of an old church five years ago.

A County Clare resident was today charged with the murder of a security guard who died following a stabbing in Dublin, in 2009.

A 45-year-old man has pleaded guilty to impeding a Garda investigation into a fatal stabbing in Dublin last year, and is to be sentenced in January.
