Egypt striker Mido is unrepentant despite being banned for six months by his own football federation for a touchline row with Pharaohs’ coach Hassan Shehata.

Tottenham were today waiting to learn whether their Egyptian striker Mido will make himself available for selection for Sunday’s Barclays Premiership clash with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

Tottenham striker Mido will miss Friday’s African Nations Cup final against Ivory Coast after being expelled from the national squad following a row with coach Hassan Shehata.

Tottenham boss Martin Jol has warned Mido he risks missing out on a permanent deal at White Hart Lane if he comes back from the African Nations Cup out of shape or out of form.
