Derry City threw down their title credentials in style with a rousing 4-0 win over Bohemians at Dalymount Park to edge them to within two points of leaders Sligo Rovers overnight.

A brilliant double save from Niall Burdon late in the game earned Shelbourne their first point of the season as they frustrated Shamrock Rovers in a scoreless, though immensely entertaining, draw at Tolka Park.
