Scandal-hit peer Lord Sewel has resigned from the House of Lords after coming under intense pressure over footage of him allegedly taking cocaine with two prostitutes.

Birtain's Lord Sewel is facing a police investigation after quitting as Deputy Speaker of the House of Lords over a video allegedly showing him taking drugs with prostitutes.
