John Travolta has decided not to pursue an extortion case again two men accused of trying to blackmail him for $25m following the death of the actor’s son Jett in 2009.

A Bahamas politician apologised publicly today for remarks that caused a mistrial in the John Travolta extortion case, but he did not reveal who told him that a defendant had been acquitted before a verdict was announced.
