John Joe Joyce beat Roy Sheahan 10-2 in an all St Michael's Athy welterweight semi-final at the Irish Daily Star sponsored Elite National Championships at the National Stadium in Dublin tonight.

TYSON FUREY weighed in for the national senior boxing championships at the National Stadium yesterday morning but he will have to produce evidence that he has been resident in the country for 12 months before he can take his place in the semi-finals tonight.

The 2007 National U-19 Championships will recommence at the National Stadium in Dublin at 5.30pm this afternoon and continue until all semi final bouts are completed.
