RATHNEW were sensationally knocked off their senior football throne in Wicklow yesterday as amalgamated side St. Mary’s, coached by Karl O’Dwyer, secured a shock victory in the county final at Aughrim.

CORK football continued on the rise at Pairc Ui Chaoimh last where the junior team picked up their third Munster title in five years with a convincing victory over Clare in the provincial final.
