GARRYOWEN ended a run of three defeats with victory over an understrength St Mary’s College in Saturday’s AIB All-Ireland Cup at Dooradoyle.

GOALS were the difference in this meeting of neighbours in the Tipperary SHC quarter-final at Semple Stadium yesterday, the two second-half three-pointers by Mid-Tipp champions Drom & Inch enough to ease them onto a semi-final meeting with reigning champions Toomevara next Sunday at the same venue.

LEINSTER will roll out two of the big names for tomorrow night’s Celtic League clash with leaders Ulster at Donnybrook (5.30).
