ROSCOMMON survived a late Kerry rally to secure a deserved victory in a poor All-Ireland JFC semi-final at Ennis on Saturday night.

KERRY stripped Cork of their Munster and All-Ireland junior football championship titles with a two-point victory at Páirc Uí Chaoimh last night in a keenly contested provincial final.

CHAMPIONS Cork are compelled, under rule, to field a completely new team for the All-Ireland junior football championship, but they are back tonight to defend their provincial crown against Kerry at Páirc Uí Chaoimh (7.30pm).

THERE was never any doubting the outcome of this AIB Kerry SFC opener in Currow yesterday once St Kieran’s recovered from a shaky period at the start of the second half and put up the scores which eased them into a controlling position.
