AFTER exhausting, successive away trips to games against Hull, Cardiff and Everton, about the best thing that can be said about yet another uninspiring Arsenal performance last Saturday is that at least I only had to walk around the corner.

WITH ALL that’s transpired in the past few days, from Rafa’s Keeganesque moment, with his hilarious rant about ol’ Red Nose, to Chelsea’s capitulation at Old Trafford, it felt as if this was a weekend of some significance at the top of the table.

WITH yet another interminable interruption to our Premiership campaign (just as it’s coming nicely to the boil), I was hoping this weekend’s International fare might fuel this column.
