A US nurse who killed at least 29 patients was sent to prison for the rest of his life today after his victims’ loved ones branded him a “monster” who had ruined lives and shattered their faith in the medical profession.

POLICE are reopening patient records in two US states following the arrest of a nurse who has said he killed up to 40 terminally ill people under his care.
