Two former executives of defunct Russian oil company Yukos Oil have joined the board of Irish explorer Petroceltic.

Dublin-based oil and gas exploration company Petroceltic is expected to achieve formal government approval for the future development of its headline Isarene/Ain Tsila gas field asset in Algeria by the end of July.

PROVIDENCE Resources said that it has encountered “notable gas shows” from appraisal work at one of its licences off the coast of Cork.
