Hundreds of people in need of significant pain relief support are set to see waiting lists surge as a result of health service retirements and budget cutbacks.

PATIENTS and their families are being forced to pay almost €1.4 million in car park fees every year — the equivalent of €3,800 a day — at one of the country’s largest regional hospitals.
