A Limerick father has spoken publicly about the effect a brutal arrest almost 10 years ago had on his mentally-ill son.

A Limerick GP has revealed he sent Alan Shatter pictures of bruised patients that he claims were beaten in Garda custody, and that the then-justice minister told him more CCTV would be installed in Garda stations.
