Scientists are presenting the strongest evidence yet that UN peacekeepers imported the cholera strain that has killed more than 5,500 people in Haiti.

There is strong evidence linking UN peacekeepers to a cholera outbreak in Haiti that has killed more than 2,000 people, a French disease expert has said.

AT least 1,721 Haitians have died from a worsening cholera epidemic in the earthquake-devastated country, according to new figures released by the health ministry yesterday.
