The euro’s stagnant start to the year might be ending as signs emerge that Europe’s economic growth is reviving.

The dollar was off lows in midday trade, particularly against the yen, on Japanese intervention fears, dealers said.

The euro weakened against the dollar in late trading, as a strong set of US economic numbers boosted both Wall Street stocks and the US currency, analysts said.
