PRESENTATION BROTHERS COLLEGE, Cork, were crowned Avonmore Munster Schools’ Senior Cup champions for the 28th time at Thomond Park yesterday when they turned in a highly impressive performance in defeating Rockwell.

ST MUNCHIN’S COLLEGE have come a long way since losing to Rockwell in the opening round of the Avonmore Munster Schools Cup. After being subjected to a hiding by a team that has now reached the decider, the Limerick side are on the cusp of joining them in the St Patrick’s Day showpiece.

THEIR performance was not as convincing as the scoreline suggests but PBC’s victory over Crescent College in yesterday’s Avonmore Munster schools senior cup quarter-final was everything Cork fans could have hoped for as it set up a mouth-watering semi-final clash with arch rivals, CBC.

PRESENTATION College recovered from a poor start to hit back and defeat Crescent Comprehensive in the Avonmore Milk Munster Schools Junior Cup semi-final at Clifford Park yesterday.

CASTLETROY College enjoyed the biggest day in their seven-year history at Thomond Park yesterday when they defeated Presentation College Cork by 5-3 in the Avonmore Milk Munster Schools Junior Cup.
