A car bomb tore through a crowded bazaar outside an office for anti-Taliban tribal elders Saturday in north-western Pakistan, killing at least 17 people, officials said.

A suicide bomber killed 67 people today at a mosque frequented by tribal elders opposed to the Pakistani Taliban.

A Pakistani official said 41 people have been killed in a suicide car bombing targeting an army vehicle in the north-west Shangla district.
