Tributes have been paid to the “kind-hearted” former garda who died on Thursday morning following a car crash in east Cork.

A former Garda in his fifties who was employed as a caretaker at a college has been named locally as the driver who died in East Cork following a collision between a car and a fuel truck this morning.

PINK and white roses were held by family and classmates of young Michaela Logan who was killed in Monday night’s single-vehicle crash near Edgeworthstown, Co Longford.
