The United States dominated the final day of the athletics World Championships with three more victories matching the team’s haul of 14 gold medals two years ago in Helsinki.

Asafa Powell indicated he will be the man to beat at next month’s World Championships after storming to victory over 100 metres at the IAAF Golden League meeting in Rome.
