A 59-year-woman charged in connection with the death of her former husband in Dublin 25 years ago has been granted bail today.

A woman extradited and charged nearly 25 years after the death of her husband has been refused bail at Dublin District Court.

A 59-year-old woman wept in court after telling gardaí “I’m innocent” when she was charged with assault with intent to murder her former husband who died after he was attacked in his south Dublin home in 1988.

A court has heard that a 59-year-old woman replied: 'I'm innocent' to criminal charges relating to the death of her first husband in Dublin 25 years ago.
