Thailand and Cambodia have agreed on a ceasefire after a week of fierce artillery duels across their contested border.

CAMBODIA searched for answers yesterday, a day after a stampede killed at least 375 people on a suspension bridge where survivors said they were wedged into the crowd of living and dead for hours.

Thailand’s fugitive ex-Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra arrived in Cambodia today following his appointment as economic adviser to the government, fuelling tensions between the neighbouring countries.
