Greek firefighters battled large bush and forest fires on the outskirts of Athens and in Greece’s southern Peloponnese region, where flames forced the evacuation of at least three villages and two summer camps.

Rescue crews today recovered the dead body of a British tourist who was buried under debris after a metal roof collapsed at one of Greece’s most important archaeological sites on the resort island of Santorini, authorities said.
