WATERFORD secured local bragging rights, and a Croke Park date with Dublin, after defeating Kilkenny in this All-Ireland MHC quarter-final Walsh Park on Saturday evening.

WINNING silverware is rarely straightforward and Dublin can certainly attest to that after dragging themselves over the winning line to claim a 13th Leinster MHC title at Croke Park yesterday.

KILKENNY have made a single but significant change for tomorrow’s Leinster Senior Hurling Championship final, recalling former Hurler of the Year Tommy Walsh in defence.

GALWAY and Kilkenny both have injury concerns ahead of next Sunday’s ESB All-Ireland MHC semi-final in Croke Park.
