A DANISH company which runs the country’s only hearing-aid manufacturing firm is to close its Cork-based operation within weeks with the loss of 180 jobs.

No injuries have been reported aboard a passenger ferry after a fire broke out while it was en route from Germany to Sweden with 237 people on board.
