MICK LALLY’S driving passions of acting, the Irish language and the struggle for social justice were to the fore in the humanist ceremony which marked the 64-year-old actor’s final journey yesterday in west Dublin.

ICONIC Irish actor Mick Lally, who is to be cremated later today, has made one last memorable gesture by asking mourners to donate to the Pakistan flood relief fund.

MICK LALLY was one of the best-loved actors of his generation and will be dearly missed, Taoiseach Brian Cowen has said.
