KATIE TAYLOR will defend her European 60kg title against the world champion Patiana Shalaya of Russia in tomorrow’s final at the European women’s boxing championships in Warsaw after turning in the best performance of her career to outpoint Guisam Patar of Turkey 18-15 in a thrilling semi-final yesterday evening.

DEFENDING champion, Katie Taylor, is through to the semi-finals of the 60kg division at the Women’s European Boxing championships in Warsaw after a decisive victory over the Romanian, Florina Popa, in last night’s semi-final.
