A residential care service for troubled teenage girls in Loughmahon in Cork City, has been closed down for three months by the HSE following an assault on a staff member.

A €20,000 bursary is being made available by Muckross House in Killarney to students taking a degree course in Irish cultural studies at the Institute of Technology (IT), Tralee.
