Leslie Patton US struggling pizza maker Papa John’s has appointed Arby’s president Rob Lynch as its new chief executive.

Embattled pizza chain Papa John’s International said its founder John Schnatter will resign from the board, bringing to a close months of tensions in the management ranks.

FAST food entrepreneur Pat McDonagh — who owns the Supermac’s chain of eateries — has bought the Irish franchise for the US pizza parlour chain, Papa John’s, for an undisclosed sum.
