Meath maintained their hopes of gaining an Allianz Hurling Division 2B final tilt with Kildare when proving too strong for relegated Roscommon in a one-sided clash at Navan’s Páirc Tailteann.

A more physical and skilful Meath swept aside the challenge of London in Ruislip on Saturday.

Starting and finishing strongly, Kildare got off to a winning start in Division 2B of the Allianz Hurling League at Navan’s Pairc Tailteann.

CENTRA was yesterday announced as the newest co-sponsor of the All-Ireland hurling championship,taking over from RTÉ in a deal which will last three years.
