America’s ambassador to the UN, Dublin-born Samantha Power, has spoken of how her father may have drank himself to death out of heartbreak at her departure for the US as a child.

The man who recently revealed himself as “Deep Throat", the key source for the Washington Post during the investigation of the Watergate government scandal, has agreed to a book and movie deal about his life, his publisher and agent confirmed today.
