RAY MOYLETT from Westport defeated Daniyar Yeleussino of Kazakhstan to take gold and win Ireland’s first medal at the world youth boxing championship in Guadalajara, Mexico on Saturday.

Ireland's incredible journey at the AIBA World Youth Championships continued last night and in the early hours of this morning after Ray Moylett and Jamie Kavanagh marched into tonight’s finals following semi final wins in Guadalajara, Mexico.
