Radovan Karadzic, who led the Bosnian Serbs through a brutal three-year civil war in the early 1990s, has boycotted the opening of his war crimes trial.

Judges at the Yugoslav war crimes tribunal in the Hague have pushed back by two days the planned start of former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic’s trial.

FORMER Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic could go on trial as early as October 19 for war crimes and crimes against humanity, the pre-trial judge of the tribunal overseeing his case said yesterday.
