World Twenty20 champions Sri Lanka eased to a 79-run victory over Ireland in the first of the two-match RSA Insurance one-day international series in Dublin yesterday.

India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir pulled off an impressive run chase to beat Sri Lanka by six wickets in the World Cup final in Mumbai.

Ireland failed to pull off another shock today as they succumbed to Sri Lanka by nine runs at Lord’s and were knocked out of the World Twenty20.
