Incessant rains have halted the search for at least two dozen people missing after a landslide swept into a village on Indonesia's main island of Java.

Indonesian authorities say they have evacuated most tourists from Mount Barujari on Lombok island after it spewed a massive column of ash into the atmosphere.

Rescuers have pulled more bodies from the debris after heavy rain in central Indonesia loosened soil and collapsed a hill, setting off a landslide that killed at least 32 villagers and left 76 others missing under piles of mud.

The death toll from the earthquake that hit Indonesia earlier this week has reached 30.

Amid screams of “Allah, Allah, help!” the waiter – knocked down by a bomb blast at Bali’s beachside Cafe Menega – got up near a table where five children had been sitting.
