A Kerryman with learning difficulties has lost his appeal before Europe’s top human rights court to have his conviction for a murder in the North overturned.

A Kerry man who is serving a life sentence for murder in a prison in the North will find out tomorrow if he is successful in his attempt to overturn the conviction on grounds he was denied a fair trial.

An 18-year-old was charged today with the murder of man in Co Tyrone.
