St Mary’s’ bid to complete the six-in-a-row of Jack Murphy Cups will have to wait until the middle of January at the earliest, as Dromid Pearses secured a late draw with two Niall Ó Sé frees during six minutes of added time in the Kerry SFC final at a bitterly cold Portmagee yesterday.

A strong second half performance from Kerry earned them the Munster JFC title at Hennessy Memorial Park, Miltown Malbay last evening against a Clare side that led at half-time but had to play with 14 men for much of the time after the break.

Kerry were pushed all the way by a determined Tipperary side in an absorbing Munster JFC quarter-final clash at MacDonagh Park, Nenagh on Saturday.
