Afghan officials are predicting more Taliban officials and fighters will surrender, after former Foreign Minister Wakil Ahmad Muttawakil presented himself to authorities.

The Foreign Minister in Afghanistan’s ruling Taliban regime has reportedly asked the United States to slow down its bombing campaign in the country so that moderate Taliban can reconsider their refusal to extradite Saudi dissident Osama bin Laden.
