Ugandan authorities have arrested a key suspect in the killing of a prominent gay rights activist who was bludgeoned to death last week, police said.

An anti-gay protester created a commotion at the funeral for a prominent activist slain in Uganda, yelling out homophobic phrases that led to a scuffle with mourners attending the burial.

Uganda’s high court ordered a controversial newspaper to stop publishing the names and photographs of people it says are gay, ruling that the publication is violating their right to privacy.
