AN office building on Cork City’s South Mall with further rental uplift scope has sold within months of going to the open market, and has fetched about 25% over its guide price, after competitive bidding.

A number of bank investments have come to market, with 17 branches nationwide valued at €28.5m, including the Bank of Ireland branch in Mallow, valued at €3.2m, while in Cork, two former bank branches have also come to the open market with Cushman & Wakefield.

Bank of Ireland branches in Mallow and Mitchelstown form part of a small, four-branch sell off of a larger 30-strong property portfolio which was bought in 2007 for €94 million.
