THE article headlined ‘Sinister blasphemy law would play into the hands of religious nut cases’ (Irish Examiner, May 6) brought to mind the Goebbels’ dictum – “tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.”

STUDENTS should be discouraged from wearing veils which cover the face in classes, recommends the Government in uniform guidelines to schools.

GUIDELINES for the wearing of religious clothing such as the Muslim hijab in schools have yet to be agreed by the Government, despite a request for direction going back almost a year.
