The king of Swaziland has postponed the start of the school year by a week so boys can participate in one of the country’s most sacred rituals – weeding royal fields.

In a move that appeared to end an embarrassing episode for Swaziland’s royal family, King Mswatihas become engaged to a teenager whose mother is suing to prevent the pair from marrying.
