Under-pressure Japan coach Takeshi Okada took few risks in naming his country’s 23-man World Cup squad.

Japan are set to concentrate solely on bidding for the 2022 World Cup after being told the 2018 edition will be held in Europe, according to reports.

The Japan Football Association have officially declared their intention to bid for the right to host the World Cup in either 2018 or 2022.
