Kerry County Council has apologised to a landowner on the proposed South Kerry Greenway for “a genuine” mistake writing to his dead father and then inviting the deceased man to a consultation meeting.

A greenway with the potential to be one of the world’s “most iconic” walking and cycling routes hangs in the balance, a county council meeting was told yesterday.
