A former principal who stole €204,000 from his school for golf equipment and weekends away has been sent to jail after his original suspended sentence was deemed too lenient.

A Cavan man who received an 18-month suspended sentence for sexually assaulting another man has had his sentence partially reactivated by Mr Justice Paul Carney at the Central Criminal Court.
